The Parker Memorial Library offers a variety of interactive programs designed to foster a love of reading at a young age.
For infants ages 0-2, we offer the Bambinos program – a baby friendly story time with songs, rhymes and play to entertain your baby while beginning to teach language skills. We have two meetings on Tuesday mornings, one at 9 and another at 11. Registration is required.
We offer Little Explorers: A sensory and fine motor skill playtime for children ages 1-4. This program encourages exploration of all the senses in a playful and relaxed setting. We have two meetings on Monday mornings, one at 9:30 and another at 11. Registration is required.
Preschoolers will enjoy Preschool Time, a story and pre-reading program for 3-5 year olds. Stories, songs and rhymes are followed by time to explore learning stations that teach various skills such as pre-writing, letter identification, fine motor skills and number awareness. This program meets on Thursday Mornings at 10:30. Registration is required.
