Centennial Anniversary Celebration

  • Centennial Anniversary Celebration

In 1922, the sister of Moses Greeley Parker donated land and money to build a new library for the town of Dracut. The library opened to the community in November 1923. In celebration of the 100th anniversary, we are planning a series of events through November 2023, including the following:

Dr. Rebecca Duda presents Notable Locals: Watch the Recording

Richard Howe presents Dr. Moses Greely Parker’s Life and Legacy: Watch the Recording

Trivia Night

The History of the Parker Library’s Museum of Antiques – a talk by Barbara Varnum from the Dracut Historical Society: Watch the Recording

Town-wide Scavenger Hunt

Art/Photograph Exhibit

Oral History Project – Drop in and share your best Dracut stories on Monday, 10/23 or Wednesday, 11/8 from 6:00-8:00pm.

Birthday Party (with cake!) on Saturday, November 4

We are looking for people to contribute photos (that we can scan to reprint so the originals will be returned to you) and oral histories. Please email Christine Muir at cmuir@dracutlibrary.org if you are interested or able to help us.
