Dracut Junior & Senior High - Due to the limited supply of books, only one summer reading book may be borrowed at a time. These books are not renewable.
Dracut Elementary and Intermediate Schools - You may take out more than one summer reading book at a time. They may be renewed one time only.
Children's Room book limits - There is no limit on the total numbers of books you can check-out. However, please select only "3 of a kind" i.e. 3 books by the same author, 3 books from the same series, 3 non-fiction books on the same subject.

Lakeview Junior High School Required Summer Reading 2008
Listed below are the required summer reading assignments for all students enrolled in English 7 during the 2008-2009 school year. The Dracut Public School District believes that summer reading is a very worthwhile experience and an important extension of the curriculum. Summer reading is also intended to be an enjoyable experience. With this in mind, students and their families are
encouraged to visit their local library and read, read, read.
All incoming 7th grade students must read TWO books and complete TWO story plans, one for each book.

Listed below are the required summer reading assignments for ALL students enrolled in English 9-12 during the 2008-2009 academic year. An essay or exam on these books will be administered during the first week of school and these scores will be averaged with you first quarter grades. The Dracut Public Library School District believes that summer reading is a very worthwhile experience and an important extension of our curriculum.
