Asthma, Allergies, Colds
Presenter: Dawn Whaley
Wednesday, April 2 @ 6:30 pm |
If you or your child's other parent has allergies, there is a good chance your child will have allergies, too. But which allergy? And which child has the potential for which allergy? And how can you be sure it's not asthma if another child in your family has asthma? How can you tell if it's an allergy emerging or the start of a cold?
Although only a doctor can diagnose your child, this workshop will help you sort out the various symptoms so you can feel more confident the next time your child sneezes. |
Temperment and Behavior
Presenter: Marianne Blanchet
Wednesday, May 7 @ 6:30 pm |
Children have difficulty with their own emotions and are confused by the way adults express theirs. Many times children express anger by hitting others or throwing things. Children need to learn how to use appropriate words to problem solve and express emotions. Come to this workshop to understand how behavior can reflect temperament and how to give your children the tools to express themselves in more comfortable appropriate ways. |
Will It Go Away?
Presenter: Anita Preble
Wednesday, June 4 @ 6:30 pm |
Will it go away, or should I call a doctor?
Rashes, Temperatures, Stomach Aches and Tears all lead to concern and frustration for the parent. It seems these things happen when a parent is already under stress! What problems can "wait until morning"? Or is a trip to the Emergency Room right away the best thing to do? Decision making is difficult and guidelines are very helpful. Come to this workshop to find some hints and guidelines for these frightening stressful times. |
